Hardware and Installation
Our home phone service requires some specialized hardware to get you connected. Fortunately, we can provide you with all the equipment necessary to start taking advantage of our unreasonably low prices — and, if you buy your home phone equipment from us, we will install it for you and provide a 90-day repair and replacement warranty in case anything misbehaves. We guarantee technical support for all our hardware, forever.
VoIP-compatible routers, ATAs and telephones can be purchased from us. Use of the hardware and how it relates to our services is laid out in our Terms of Service. Additionally, the hardware will require configuration and installation; the process is typically straightforward, but we install the hardware ourselves to ensure the system will integrate nicely with our services. The fee for installation is $34.00 CAD.
We use the Grandstream HT-8XX series of Analog Telephone Adapters due to their high quality and ease of use. We also offer analog telephones, IP phones, and VoIP-compatible routers.
In case we cannot physically install your equipment, we will ship the required hardware to you with a copy of your contract and installation instructions. We will call you to assist with the setup if you have a cell phone available. You will still be charged an “installation fee”, but this is to cover the cost of shipping.
If you no longer want or need hardware you purchase from us, you can return the hardware for a 50% credit on your purchase price. The hardware must be in the original box with all accessories, and returned in good working condition.
The staggering lack of Competition
It is difficult to claim our prices are competitive when there doesn’t appear to be any meaningful competition.
We understand, however, that talk is cheap: sure our prices are good — but exactly how good?
Let’s see how our “competitors” stack up.
